The current federal government shutdown has the potential to affect accessibility to any Redwood EdVentures Quest that is on federal land. According to a notice on the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge website:

Due to the lapse in federal appropriations, this website will not be updated until further notice. Where public access to refuge lands does not require the presence of a federal employee or contractor, activities on refuge lands will be allowed to continue on the same terms as before the appropriations lapse. Any entry onto Refuge System property during this period of federal government shutdown is at the visitor’s sole risk. Please read this important message about closure of National Wildlife Refuge System facilities during the shutdown.

The link in the notice indicates that the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge in particular is closed to the public, but the language of the notice implies that other national park sites may still be open, if the presence of federal employees is not required. It is recommended to check before heading out on an EdVenture to a federal park during the shutdown.
